Message This going to be long and confused, cause i am confused as to what to do?

Most everybody knows that i have been trying to design a Big single turbo Kit for my Z32 to support around 900-1000whp.

I have all the parts to do it, it is a matter of finishing fabing it all up and getting it all to work together.

Now the motor will handle the power and make the power i need, it is a matter of everything fitting, and if stuff does break, it won't be cheap to fix or replace.

Here is my dilema. As of yet i don't know if the kit and everything will fit.
Second if and when it does fit it is going to be cramped and not look that good.
Third, not only will i have to build custom exhaust manifold for the turbo, and Charge piping for everything else. I will also have to build a custom single intake manifold to allow Top Feed injectors cause i will need no smaller then 1000cc injectors and the biggest side feeds are 850cc.

Now my other dilema is I have a chance to try to swap in an SR20DET into my Z?
Now here are the pro's and cons of that.
Pro's
if i can get it to fit, There will be plenty of room for anything i want to do
Second, Parts are cheap and redily availble
third a lot easier to work on.
Con's
The oil pan sump is right where the Cross Member of the Z32 is. So either i will have to build a custom tubular Cross member to adapt it, or rework the oil pan, which is even harder.
With the SR, i can still make 700-800whp and in my Race class.
The 6 Cylinders have a minimum weight of 3500lbs, and the 4 Cylinders have a minimum weight of 2600lbs.
and an average proven weight to power at the track is for every 100lbs=10whp. That's dead weight, not rotating weight.

So a VG 6cylinder pushing 900whp runnin 9.6@150 should equal a
SR 4cylinder pushing around 800whp runnin around 9.6@150.

Also if you put the SR motor in, you will lose 300lbs on the front end alone which will allow for better weight transfer.

I just don't know which one to persue and finish.
if i had enough money i would build both to see what works and doesn't, But since i am shooting to get this done by Race season, i need to decide very soon.

Please off what i have told ya, let me hear some opinions?

thanks,

Danny
